Back to update my blog… back from Thailand trip. 9th march 06 to 13th march 06. It’s a Thursday to Monday trip. Took Jet star Asia flight there... Reach Bangkok in 2 hrs… it wasn’t an amazing trip, though I did some cheap shopping there... Maybe because I was the only girl traveling wif them... Felt a little left out though... We took a cab to the hotel call the residence. Isn’t amazing... Kind of disappointing... It was like a spa concept... Lobby everything was ok, except the room, was quite run down. The room view was bad. The air-con is not adjustable. The cardboards some are spoiled and some are too high to reach. The carpeted floor was dirty and dull… The corridors are dim and the lift was too stuffy. However, the hotel service is good. The staffs are all polite and helpful. The food is nice and tasty. There is also spa in the hotel. I wanted to try, but is way too expensive to do it, about the same price as spore.
After reaching the hotel, we went shopping ard… We shopped every single day. Anyway, dats our purpose there. We also went pubbing… all the pubs there are filled wif there own bar top dancers. At least 50 of them in e pub. 30 of them dancing and 20 on e floor accompanying customers… is sumtink similar to nite club… well, they wasn’t veri beautiful except some of the ‘girls’ there. I was pretty offended by a ‘girl’ there. I was damn condemn by her lor.. Maybe I’m a girl… anyway, I dun feel comfortable there. The next day, we woke up early to have our breakfast. Then we went on to chatuchak for shopping… dat place is damn stuffy and farking warm. I’m a person who dun sweat but I sweat most on dat day. On top of dat, I have low blood; I need to maintain a certain sugar level to move on. Esp, dat type of place, if not I’ll faint (like dat time in bugis village, the black out incident). Luckily, I always had a bottle of Pepsi with me. We couldn’t finish shopping the whole market, so we went continue on the next day. 2 days in chatuchak, is really killing me. I will nv want to go to the place again. There is another place dat is relatively about the same price as chatuchak, that is MBK. It is a shopping mall that you can bargain and there is a lot of stuff u can purchase there. Though it is a little more ex (30 baht = SGD $1.25) that chatuchak, you will not suffer so much sweat and pushing there. plus it is cleaner and cooler. It’s more worthy. On top of dat, it is nearer to our hotel. Oh ya, I had a hair cut there. 400 baht, SGD 16, quite reasonable, considering it is quite a high end saloon and located in the city shopping centre. My bf highlighted his hair. Well, when we reach end of the day, we didn’t have enough money to spend. We end up withdrawing money from the ATM machine. Not a good choice, but that was our last resort.
Over the 4 days there, there were some conflicts and a little argument, which I dun want to talk about it. I think my girls know it best. Maybe I was too demanding or maybe is just what a girl wants, anyway, too tired to explain. Let it rest.
Overall, it was an experience to Thailand, Bangkok. I will want to visit again, maybe next time with friends, with my girlfriends, with my buddies.
Btw, I bought 2 hand bags, 2 lip gloss [M.A.C & CK], 3 slippers [ 1 of them is Birkenstock], 3 tees, 2 pkts of panty liner [is so damn cheap, their Watson is ½ e price of S’pore], 1 box of tampon [oso frm Watson], 2 boxes of perfume [Escada Island kiss and Miracle], 1 butterfly belt, 1 pair of jeans, 2 pairs of earring [but eventually lost 1 side of it. Damn it!], did a hair cut frm MBK, mascara, crackers, 3 bras, 2 bikinis [Billabong & rip curl. Cfm real brand] Erm… I tink dat abt it.. din buy much… money wasn’t enough to spend. Dats very sad.
